Golden Square is the main shopping centre in Warrington town centre. A major extension in 2007 saw the number of shops and floor space double. It is now home to around 130 shops and places to eat and drink.

The challenge

During the Christmas period, we had to make Golden Square Shopping Centre the place to go for all your shopping needs.

The solution

We brought a toy dancing Santa to life in an amusing way by having him raid his owner’s Christmas shopping bags, revealing him in a sharp suit dancing to ‘funk’ music.

During the 4-week campaign period, the ad appeared during such shows as X Factor and Coronation Street, footfall quadrupled breaking all previous records for Golden Square at Christmas.
